ABOUT STYLEOPIA
Styleopia is led by Paula, an Architect and Interior Designer with over 30 years of professional experience.
The studio specialises in helping local families rethink and reshape their homes to better support everyday life. Projects can range from small, focused changes to full renovations, always centred on improving how spaces function, feel and connect, often by working creatively with what already exists.
Based in a home studio while raising her own family, Paula understands first hand the realities of space, budgets and changing needs. This informs Styleopia’s Co-Constructive Design approach, bringing together architectural thinking and practical interior design to create homes that feel thoughtful, adaptable and achievable.

Designing a home is a shared journey. Whether you’re exploring a single room or a more extensive transformation, our role is to guide it with clarity and care, helping turn ideas into spaces that feel personal, considered and well resolved.
OUR APPROACH
Every project begins with understanding how you live and what you want your home to become. Through conversation and careful observation, we develop a clear brief that reflects your lifestyle, the character of the property and your budget.
We call this Co-Constructive Design, where your ideas and aspirations combine with our experience from the outset, shaping the design together.
Initial Conversation
A short discovery call followed by a consultation to explore your brief and the possibilities for your home.
Concept Design
Early layouts and mood boards establish the design direction. We refine the concept together until it feels right.
Design Development
The design is developed in detail, including materials, lighting, joinery and furnishings, alongside planning submissions where required.
Construction & Installation
We collaborate closely with contractors during the build to ensure the design is carefully realised, through to final installation and completion.
About Paula
BA (Hons) Arch / Dip Arch
Paula is an Architect and Interior Designer with over three decades of experience across residential, hospitality and historic environments.
Since founding Styleopia in 2004, she has delivered projects for private clients as well as organisations including Mary Fox Linton, Julian Bicknell Associates and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Her work balances design quality with practicality, budget awareness and buildability.
Earlier in her career, Paula worked with Hirsch Bedner Associates in London and spent six years in Paris with Pierre-Yves Rochon, contributing to high end international residential and hotel interiors, including work associated with the George V Hotel.
Her architectural background also includes work within the leisure industry and historic settings under the Royal Commission, contributing to projects at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Estates and the Palace of Westminster. These experiences shaped her ability to adapt spaces sensitively and design intelligently within constraints.
Today, Paula brings this depth of experience to private homes, creating spaces that are elegant, practical and designed to support real family life.
